Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces

A revitalized the Russian player won his initial championship for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.

Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.

His varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - led to him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.

Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.

This represents his maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from spring of 2023.

Success also means the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 various tournaments.

"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."

The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.

His retrieving strategy and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had led some to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was finished.

However the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.

Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five games to take the lead.

The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.

Moutet saved four early opportunities in a competitive final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.

Appropriately, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
